Believe in yourself
sWe all seem to forget that if you want something different out of your life you have to put something different into it. If we keep doing the same things, we’ll keep getting the same results.
So many of us play the woe is me card and complain about things that are actually in our control. We stay in a situation, even if we don’t like it just because it’s what’s comfortable.
How often do you wish for something and hope it will magically happen? You want a new job without really doing the necessary work, you want to lose 10 pounds without evaluating your habits, you want the love of your life come into your life without making an effort yourself.
The reality is you have to work at it and for it. Sometimes that’s listening to yourself, or taking a risk even if you are nervous and afraid, or to stop making excuses and commit to a decision.
Changing your perspective is also a way to not do the same thing you’ve always done. Looking at a situation in a different way may help you act in a different way, resulting in a more desired outcome.
Remember if something still doesn’t work out for you, you can try again, and again. Your life can be whatever you dream it to be, if you truly want it and you start to do things differently!

Age is just a number!
Some of you will agree with this statement & others won’t. This is the difference between a growth or a fixed mindset. People with a growth mindset don’t let their age or their current stage in life hold them back. Whereas people with a fixed mindset are more likely to take on board societies viewpoint of how you ‘should’ act at different stage of life.
We all have a choice on how we ‘choose’ to see our age and our lives. Even if situations in life that are beyond our control happen, you still have a choice on how you perceive what happens to you & how you feel about it.
Most women I Life Coach are in their 40’s, 50’s & 60’s and we discuss how we are all drivers in our lives. Therefore we need to know the route to our dreams & goals that we are aiming for. You wouldn’t get in your car & start driving not knowing where you are going, so why would you do that in your life?
Don’t let the number of your age define who you are & what you do. Drive towards your goals & dreams & put your foot down!

When was the last time you really unplugged and relaxed?
Life is so busy and full on for so many of us. I know in lockdown our lives are in some ways more simple, however in others it is more stressful and demanding.
Some of us are having to look after older relatives as they shielding, or working from home with everyone else in the house, or having to home school our children.
It can feel as if there is just not enough time in the day to take time out for yourself. However this is counterintuitive, as in the long run not taking time out makes you less efficient and more exhausted.
Try taking 10-15 minutes out of your day to read a book you love, meditate, listen to your favourite music or take a walk in nature. You will feel so much better, be more efficient and be able to focus more clearly on what you need to do.
How are you going to unplug today?
At the moment with lockdown & all the changes in our lives that we have to deal with, the little things really are the big things!
It's very easy to feel that you have nothing good in your life & how hard life is. However, life is what you focus on.
Instead of focusing on what's wrong, start to feel grateful for what you have. I know it may feel that there isn't anything, but there always is something.
I know when most people think about being grateful they think it has to be something obvious like their relationships, work or where they live.
I love the idea of micro-gratitude, where you are grateful and actually enjoy the small moments in life that we are normally just too busy to notice. Moments like eating your favourite meal, having a chat with a friend, getting into fresh, clean sheets to name a few.
Notice these moments and enjoy the pleasure they give you. You will be amazed how much happier and grateful you are for what you have in your life.
Did you jump out of bed and start your morning routine with even more vigour this morning to start your New Year? Or did you decide it was too early, too cold, you were too tired or just couldn't be bother to jump out of bed early?
The decisions we make shape our lives. If you want 2021 to be 'your' year, you need to decide to take action and achieve your goals and dreams.
I'm not saying it will be easy, however I know that you are worth making the right decisions for.
