Every morning we all make a decision on how we feel, whether this is a conscious or an automatic unconscious decision. Unfortunately most of us do not think about it and we let the events of yesterday, last week, month, or even year dictate how we feel in that moment and for the rest of the day.
I hear you say, what about hating my job, Covid-19 or some other issue going on? Of course we all have to deal with hard times in our lives, and at the moment life is harder for a lot of people.
However, you do not have to let life dictate how you feel. We all know people that look like they swan through life without a care in the world, then you find out the problems and issues they have been dealing with. They have just chosen to deal with what life has thrown their way and be as happy as they can under the circumstances.
I know it is not realistic to be happy everyday and all day. However, we can choose every morning that we will start from a happy place and make the most of our day. Remember we cannot control what is going on around us, but we can control how we feel and act.
It is better to decide how we feel rather than letting our minds go to habitual feelings and automatically be sad, angry or annoyed.
